Whew! We certainly did our steps
and more today! We have noticed a huge
number of Canadian license plates here, mostly from B.C. and Alberta. Even though right now it’s 20 degrees below
normal, it’s still got to be warmer so am presuming these are snowbirds
primarily. There is certainly an
abundance of retired-looking folks! Ha
ha.
Most of our day was spent at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. A very interesting experience and a place
that I imagine will burst with color in the spring. They have a wildlife hospital and full
veterinary staff.

Then it was time for a late lunch/early dinner at Shield’s Date
Farm. Of course, that meant the
obligatory date shake which was wonderful as usual. After lunch we took the Walk at Shields which is a garden with larger than life sculptures of the life of Jesus.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is one I always wanted to visit. I see that they are offering flights in a Ford Tri_motor for the ridiculously low price of $70.
